Experience
SupervisionThe British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) is the main body in the UK which oversees the accreditation and registration of counsellors. All counsellors and psychotherapists who are members of the BACP are required to have regular and ongoing supervision. Supervision is an essential safeguard for clients. For therapists it provides crucial support, helps them to develop their skills and competence and makes them aware of new developments in their practice. I am a qualified and experienced supervisor and able to work with counsellors using a variety of different theoretical approaches. I have undergone rigorous supervisor training with Relate and have since gained more than 10 years experience of supervising trainee and trained counsellors working in public and voluntary organisations, the educational sector and private practice.
